Celebrations, opportunites, and training

What a Celebration!

We not only hosted the Protector User Group Meeting (PUGM) in Nashville earlier this month, but we also marked a significant milestone, as this was its 25th consecutive annual occurrence! It’s always a pleasure being with customers; however, this year was truly special. Half the delegates had participated in one or more previous PUGMs—they return year after year due to the event’s value and benefit to their fraud management initiatives. We were thrilled to welcome many newcomers to this annual fraud management educational conference as well. Best of all, we were honored to have two former customers attend the event and celebrate with us!

PUGM 2023

Per tradition, we snapped a group photo at this year's PUGM. We also captured conference highlights and put them together in a photo gallery you can view.

A Decade of Eric Bright! If you’ve called the Equinox Support line in the past decade after regular business hours or when all representatives are assisting other customers, you’ve been greeted by the soothing sounds of Eric Bright’s voice. By the time you finish reading this article, you’ll understand why he’s the natural choice for all outgoing voice mail greetings at Equinox.
Equinox is truly blessed to have Eric  Bright on the Support team. Every day, Eric applies his computing background, extensive TeleLink knowledge, telecom rating experience, and research acumen to benefit customers and colleagues alike. His intelligence and genuine desire to help others make him an invaluable asset for his role at Equinox!
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Harding University in 1994, Eric served as the IT Manager for a local toy company before running his own custom software company, including fielding and resolving all customer support issues, for nearly two decades. Since Eric had this background and experience, Equinox felt like they’d won the lottery in 2013 when he joined the Support team.

Eric’s primary tasks consist of assisting TeleLink customers and administering the company's website. As a TeleLink guru, Eric coordinates all aspects of product installation, assists with system maintenance, performs all application updates, and helps answer customer questions on every feature in the application, including mediation, reporting, and rating capabilities. Not only is he well versed in every area of TeleLink, but he’s also a helpful fellow with a heart for serving others. It’s no secret why customers love him and ask for him by name!

Outside work, Eric lives up to the Music City stereotype—he plays guitar and sings in not one but two fantastic cover bands in addition to helping lead worship as part of the church band. If you want everyone on the dance floor having a good time at your wedding, corporate event, or fundraiser, check out The Remedies or Soul Soup. You’ll see Eric, aka eRock, prominently featured on those websites. He’s even used his musical talents at Equinox to compose a custom jingle as part of the Protector user group and amazingly endearing retirement tributes for both Wayne Lowe and Kevin Cantrell. That’s exactly why he’s the “voice of Equinox” for all outgoing messages.

Eric’s extracurricular musical escapades aren’t the only noteworthy thing about him. In an age where virtually everyone is a transplant to the middle Tennessee area, he’s also a rare Nashville native who was born and raised in town and continues to call it home. He and his wife Ashley have three sons. Together with two other business partners, they own and manage Tyree Hollow, which is a beautiful 60+ acre getaway on the outskirts of Nashville featuring a historic cabin or tiny house for rent. When not performing on stage or tending to tasks related to those rental properties, Eric enjoys quality time with his family, travelling, and being outdoors.

According to Eric, what he loves best about Equinox is how it fosters a professional yet informal environment that promotes teamwork, personal responsibility, and productivity. He says every employee is made to feel like a vital part of producing great products and exceptional service. His care and concern for others combined with an expansive capacity for technology and troubleshooting make Eric the perfect fit for his role as a TeleLink support specialist. Take the opportunity to meet him when you come for a user group. You’ll quickly see why Eric’s teammates and customers agree Equinox is a better place thanks to his contributions.
