What are the impossible trade-offs low-income families in the Bay Area make to meet their basic needs? Taking Count, a partnership between Tipping Point Community and UC Berkeley, asks this question. The year-long study surveys 3,000 Bay Area residents with a focus on people who don't have the resources to make ends meet, digging into the kinds of financial challenges residents experience—not having enough to eat, having to forego healthcare, or not having a stable home. Watch Professor Daniel Schneider introduce this groundbreaking study and get a peek of what’s to come from Taking Count.
