Student Account Adjustment Statement
The transition to remote learning at UMass Boston has left some of our students with paid for, but unused parking, dining, and housing services. In response, UMass Boston is taking the following actions:
Issuing an account credit for parking pass fees covering the final 9 weeks of the spring semester (March 23 to May 22).
The MBTA has also issued refunds for April and May to all students, including UMass Boston T riders.
Issuing an account credit for meal plan payments covering the remaining 9 weeks of the semester (March 23 to May 22).
Advocating strongly with the private, nonprofit owner/operator of campus residential halls about how they intend to handle account credits to residential students (who make up 8% of the undergraduate population).
We will update you with more information as it becomes available.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Kirleis
