Member Reservations and Tickets are Going Fast If you haven’t made your Member reservations to join us this holiday season, now is the time to do so! Reservations and tickets are limited and many time slots are sold out. As a reminder, reservations are required every day throughout A Longwood Christmas from open to close (except for Gardens Premium Members). This year with our reduced capacities, we have especially needed to manage admissions to ensure Members and guests have plenty of space to enjoy the Gardens. To help make room for all to enjoy the beauty of A Longwood Christmas, please make Member reservations for only those days and times you intend to visit. Should your plans change, please contact us at 610.388.1000 to cancel your reservation in order to make room for another Member or guest to visit. Due to the way our reservation system is set up, we must cancel your reservation for you. Thank you for your understanding. Watch Now Paint a Longwood Landscape Longwood Paint-by-Number Get in the holiday spirit with our new A Longwood Christmas paint-by-number activity! Print out the template and then, using your own paints and supplies, create a holiday scene of our Gardens right from the comfort of your home.  Get Painting Puzzle Away A New Puzzle Challenge Get in the spirit of the season with a new jigsaw puzzle featuring A Longwood Christmas. There is an option for younger puzzle lovers too! In addition to our puzzles, check out the latest Members-only virtual offerings for a range of activities to do from home, and find answers to our Thanksgiving Day crossword activity. Start the Puzzle Delve into Gardens History The Music Room Built in 1923, the Music Room was originally used for private entertaining by Pierre S. and Alice du Pont. It housed the first organ console and one of du Pont's two Steinway concert grand pianos. The Longwood Steinway is a nine-foot, leaf-figured concert grand, manufactured by Steinway and Sons in Queens, New York. The rare walnut patterned veneer was specially ordered to match the wood paneling in Longwood’s Music Room.   Every year during  A Longwood Christmas, we transform the Music Room into an imaginative space (with a new design each year), serving as a guest-favorite element of the display. This week, reflect in the story of Member Helen S.: For my 60th birthday in early January several years ago, I planned a solo trip to Longwood to see the Christmas display. My husband had some plans with his buddies. At the last minute, he ditched the guys and came with me. We spent glorious hours prowling the decorated gardens and eating in the Cafe. One of my favorite photos of him comes from the Conservatory that evening. We didn't know that would be the last birthday we would spend together. He died suddenly and unexpectedly four months later.
