With a passion for design, innovative marketing, and sharp business acumen, Stuart Weitzman built a global brand from the ground up. As the Babson Center's Humphreys Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Weitzman offered practical advice on becoming a great entrepreneur: Master your craft, embrace risks, think creatively, seek inspiration, and associate with successful people and ideas. What does it take to excel in the high-stakes world of college sports? Boo Corrigan, P'25, director of athletics at North Carolina State University, shared his insights with students about the challenges and rewards of his job. Corrigan emphasized the importance of trust, accountability, passion, and empathy with accountability in his leadership philosophy, or, as he said, "Do the most right thing." Navigating the volatility and complexity in college sports, he relies on strong relationships with his colleagues, athletes, and peers, focusing on lifting others up. Learn more here.

Carey Fellow Passes the CFA Level I Exam! |
Ben Pollock, C’26, passed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I Exam this summer. “CFA Level I is a great way to deepen expertise in finance and investment management,” Ben says. This is an outstanding achievement for a college junior.

Carey Fellows Explore Careers in Austin Through Executive Briefings |
Over two days in Austin, Texas, junior Carey Fellows participated in nine executive briefings with alumni and friends of the Babson Center. The diverse lineup of industries was tailored to match the students' interests. During office visits and lunch meetings, these business honors students gained insights into Austin’s work culture, honed their networking skills, and received invaluable career advice. Global Consultant Blair Overman, C'07, Charts a Unique Career Path |
Bryan Viewpoints Speaker Blair Overman, principal and chief operating officer of Andart Global, shared insights into her nonlinear career and emphasized the competitive advantage of attending Sewanee. During her presentation, Overman discussed the importance of personal values, saying, "It's not just a job; it's your life." She loves sailing and used this passion to leverage access to business skills development, working in nonprofits, startups, and currently a consulting firm in Dubai.
