Chris Walters is a rockstar in the fraud management industry! Not only does he fight fraud each day as part of his job, but he also is President of the Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA). His enthusiasm for promoting CFCA, along with its Certified Communications Security Professional (CCSP) program and all things related to fraud management solutions (FMS) is evident anytime you encounter him. In fact, one of his passions is helping industry peers obtain CCSP certification.
Since 2005, Chris has been an Equinox customer who not only uses the Protector FMS daily but is also an active participant in Equinox’s fraud symposium (attending 8 of the last 9 annual events). Equinox personnel and conference attendees alike can count on Chris to contribute to the industry cause of fighting fraud through his comments and presentations each year. It’s especially fun when his birthday coincides with the annual user group event! Chris says his favorite part of the Equinox user group is the networking with other industry professionals.
Before entering the telecom field fulltime, Chris served as a U.S. Marine Corps field wireman for four years. Currently hailing from O’Fallon, IL, Chris and his wife Tara have three children—an 18-year-old son and 9-year-old twins. Chris is proud of his children and enjoys spending time cheering them to victory in softball, baseball, wrestling, and football.
