We encourage you to visit us on Twitter/X at @research_sis to see more about what our faculty have been up to. To name just a few, in the past few months our faculty were busy writing and talking about:
| Patrick Thaddeus Jackson: Facts and Explanations in International Studies (Sept 24)
Daniel Nexon (Georgetown) moderated an engaging discussion on the book with Patrick Jackson and panelists Laura Field (AU Scholar in Residence), Sebastian Schmidt (JHU), Douaa Sheet (SIS), David Waldner (UVA). They delved into intellectual and philosophical discussions on the key commonalities and significant differences between the ways we talk about facts and explanations, setting the stage for better conversations about important philosophical and political issues.

We still have three exciting book launches still to come this semester, along with two workshops for faculty on open access publications and seeking and securing fellowship opportunities. Stay tuned for information about one additional workshop this November on funding for action-oriented research.
