Common Hire Dates and Centralized Onboarding |
Effective February 1, 2023, HROE launched common hire dates, on the 1st and 16th of each month. These plans also included additional dates to accommodate the high volume of student/graduate assistant hires during the summer months and the beginning of the academic semesters. These common hire dates are available online and linked below. As you plan for future hires, managers should keep in mind that a background/compliance check must clear before the hire date. Please contact your HR Professional so you can submit hiring requests timely (preferably 5 days before hire date) and ensure a successful onboarding experience for your new hires.

Staff Performance Review – Deadline May 31 |
The Performance Review process, which began on April 1, is quickly approaching the completion date of May 31. Employees must submit the self-evaluation task in Workday so supervisors can complete their employees’ evaluations. As a reminder, eligibility for a merit salary Increase as part of the regular budget cycle is dependent on a completed staff performance evaluation with a "meets expectations" or higher overall rating. For questions, please contact hrevaluations@tamu.edu.
