2018 Congress Recap
During the third week of March, 4-H students from across the state gathered in Murfreesboro to celebrate successes and achievements. Since its beginning in 1948, Congress has given nearly 40,000 4-H’ers and volunteer leaders the opportunity to experience state government firsthand.

2018 4-H Summer Camps


Tennessee 4-H operates four 4-H centers located throught the state. The 4-H centers offer a wide variety of camps during the summer season. Every 4-H Center makes every effort to insure that your child has a safe and rewarding camp experience. 

Run by county 4-H agents, adult and teen volunteer leaders and permanent camp staff, participants are encouraged to experience new adventures and make new friends. Each center offers different programs and curriculum so each camper can find their best fit.

Somethin' Sweet

Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie                                                      Recipe by Bobby Beets, former President of Tennessee 4-H Alumni
  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped
  • 1 qt. vanilla ice cream, softened
Mix 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs with sugar and butter. Press firmly into 9-inch pie pan. Chill in refrigerator. Fold peanut butter and whipped cream into ice cream carefully. Spoon quickly into chilled graham cracker crust. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of remaining crumbs around edge to garnish. Freeze for 5 hours or until firm. Thaw for 10 to 15 minutes befor serving.
