We’re excited to share that brand-new marketing toolkits are now available for partners along the Great Umpqua Food Trail and the Rogue Valley Food Trail.

These toolkits are designed to make it easier than ever to promote your business and the food trails as a whole. Inside, you’ll find ready-to-use resources including:

- Trail brochures and digital assets

- Messaging guides to help tell the food trail story

Registration Open for Why Guides Program

Tour operators, guides and outfitters interested in joining Travel Oregon’s Why Guides program are invited to register between now and October 10 during the open registration period. This no-cost program helps uplift and strengthen the incredible guided tour experiences available around the state through industry engagement and education and prioritized marketing, promotion and media efforts.

Guides who enroll in the program by October 10 will gain access to programming and opportunities offered this coming winter and spring, so be sure to register for this free program before the deadline.

Grantsmithing 101 Workshop

Join us November 18th in Grants Pass for a hands-on grant writing workshop designed to strengthen your skills, sharpen your strategy, and help you approach grants from a funder’s perspective. This workshop will help you:

• Understand how grant applications are scored and evaluated

• Avoid common pitfalls and missed opportunities

• Align your application with the funder’s mission and goals

• Craft compelling narratives and clear budgets

• Learn from real-world examples and reviewer insights

Nonprofits, destination management organizations, city and regional leaders, tourism businesses, and anyone looking to level up their grant writing skills through a hands-on, conversational workshop are encouraged to attend.

August Regional Research Report

In August, hotels throughout the Southern Oregon Region saw room night Demand grow by 4.8% compared to one year prior, lifting average Occupancy by 4.7% Year-over-Year (YoY). Southern Oregon hotels averaged 74.9%.

Klamath County hotels recorded the highest Occupancy rate at 76.4% (+11.9% YoY), followed closely by Jackson County at 75.8% (+4.7%), Douglas County at 72.8% (-1.4%), and Josephine County at 72.4% (+4.0%).

The Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport’s passenger volume continued to grow by double digits in August, up by 15.4% YoY to reach 112,407 total passengers for the month. Year-to-date, the Rogue Valley airport has welcomed 727,855 passengers, a 7.2% YoY increase.
