Special Event: Big Data in Business Lecture and Discussion
“Data is the new oil. It’s only useful when it’s refined.”
-Clive Humby, Data Scientist Innovator
The power of Big Data is advancing swiftly. Likewise, technologies, applications and opinions based on Big Data are quickly changing. Big Data is a vital area of focus for most business sectors, because it has the potential to drive effective and efficient decision-making in a short period of time. When harnessed correctly, an organization can differentiate their position in the marketplace and drive revenue, while positively impacting the bottom-line. However, quite the adverse can happen to those organizations who have not yet embraced the current impact and future of Big Data.
Join us the evening of Thursday, October 19 in the Massey Boardroom (4th floor, Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business on the Belmont Campus) from 6:00-8:00 PM to engage with three experts on the topic of Big Data in Business. We are pleased to welcome these three speakers, all of which have current and past ties to Belmont.
