Protector User Group Postponed

Dear Equinox Family,

It is with unbearable sadness I tell you that Derek Drake, a twenty-six year employee of Equinox, lost his battle with Covid this week. Many of you know Derek from years of user group meetings, phone calls, customer site visits. If you met Derek, you knew him to be a man of passion about EVERYTHING!  He was passionate about his work, he was passionate about his play. He was passionate about his family and passionate about his friends.

As a customer of Equinox, Derek was your advocate. His primary focus was the user experience through the amazing interfaces he created for our products over the last twenty-six years. He listened to what you wanted and then, with dogged determination, he made it happen. He was proud of what he created and never satisfied. There was always something more he could do to make it better.
Derek Drake always enjoyed user groups!
A smile as bright as the sun and a wit as sharp as a knife, there was never a doubt where Derek stood. And he always stood by his family, friends, and coworkers. He has left a void in our hearts that will never be filled.

We have decided that it is best to postpone next week’s scheduled Protector Users Group. His loss is now too fresh on the hearts of his coworkers and friends here at Equinox. We will announce new dates for the Protector Users Group in the coming days. Thank you all so much for the messages of sympathy and condolences.  It is no secret we hold our customers in high regard as business partners and extended members of the Equinox family. Your support means the world to us.

Regards,

Byron Middendorf, Equinox founder and CEO
