Complete International Student Orientation Modules
All new international students must complete the orientation program, which is comprised of:
- in-person sessions on Miami's Oxford, Ohio campus | (starting January 24)

online Canvas modules
This program is designed for new Miami international students and will prepare you for start of classes on January 29.
Reminder that Canvas is Miami's learning management system and will be used in all your classes. The following Canvas modules will provide a broad overview of essential information on starting your journey at Miami University as an international student.
Before in-person orientation and the start of classes you should complete the linked modules.

Confirm Your Arrival and Upload Your Documents
InterLink is an online platform used at Miami for international students to submit requests and documents to ISSS.
Before arriving to campus you must share your arrival details and documents with ISSS via InterLink.

Log in to InterLink.(use your Miami Unique ID and Password).
- Navigate to the left side of the screen and select "Admission and Orientation" from the menu.

Select and complete the form titled, Spring Arrival Confirmation and Document Upload.
- You will need your passport and visa to complete this form.

If you have not received your visa, please contact international@miamioh.edu to discuss your timeline for visa issuance and arrival.

To access many Miami University resources, including on campus rooms, meal plan, library, recreation center, and more, a Miami University Digital ID will be issued to you.
In order to access your Miami Digital ID, you should submit a photo through the GET phone app.
|
|
|
File Specifications:
-
must be at least 300x300 pixels
- must not be larger than 800x800 pixels
- must be a .jpg file
- must be square to avoid disproportionate resizing on your ID
- must be in color
|
|
Photo Guidelines:
- Passport photos are accepted and preferred
-
Copyrighted photos are not permitted
- No red eye or flash reflection on glasses or contact lenses
- No hats, sunglasses, jewelry, or garments of any sort that obstruct the view of your face
- Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons

No headphones, wireless hands-free devices or similar items
- Must be taken within the last six months to reflect your current appearance
- Must be looking straight at the camera
- Must be a light colored background
- No borders or filters on the photo

There should be a small space between your head and the top of the image, as well as a definite contrast between you and the background

Please note: Those those living on-campus will need their Miami ID to enter their residence hall room.

Completing Pre-Arrival Tasks
Make sure you are also completing all the necessary tasks to prepare for your arrival.

|
Please note that Miami University will be closed December 23 - January 1. Thanks for your patience if you are expecting a response from a Miami University office. The next Orientation Newsletter from international@MiamiOH.edu will be sent in early January.
