Pioneering educational philosopher John Dewey believed that democracy is what takes place in the everyday relations and interactions of our lives - not just in the halls of Congress or in the voting booth.
Democracy counts on all of us to get involved, dig in to public issues, get to know our neighbors, see ourselves as a part of a larger whole and to play our part in making and remaking democracy, every day.
There's plenty of work to be done.
Let's get to work, together!
