Assistant Professor of Physics and Engineering Physics Peifen Zhu has received a five-year grant from the National Science Foundation to support theoretical and experimental research aimed at enabling LED technology to reach its full potential. Her plan includes training TU students as well as educational outreach to local schools.

Chair of Psychology Robert Tett and his fellow researchers are mining the field of workplace personality assessment, looking for insights into the value of personality tests to predict performance in jobs where particular traits, such as conscientiousness and extraversion, are relevant.

Tragedy and memory
Gilcrease Museum has received the Eddie Faye Gates Tulsa Race Massacre Collection, which contains a wealth of eye-witness accounts, photographs, recorded survivor stories and other narratives of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. “This collection has deep cultural and national significance,” said Phil Armstrong, project director for Greenwood Rising history center. “I believe people will be excited to see this collection preserved and accessible for the education of generations to come.”
