Grant Updates
BBVA Compass Foundation is offering grant opportunities to nonprofits with a focus on community development/financial literacy, education, health and human services, arts and culture, environment and natural resources, and diversity and inclusion. DentaQuest Foundation is offering a mini-grant program, #MySmileMatters, to help organizations to increase children/youth oral health literacy in schools and community. Two $3,000 and one $1,000 grants are available and applications are due Septeber 23.

August 17Because it is yet unknown whether Congress will extend federal financing for CHIP beyond September 30, 2017, the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing is hosting a public meeting this Monday morning from 9 – 10:30 am to receive feedback and advice from interested stakeholders in planning and consideration of alternative policies and models to ensure that the children and pregnant women who are covered by Colorado’s CHIP program will continue to have access to health coverage. The meeting will be held at the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, but you may also participate by phone.  If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to submit comments, please send them by September 15, 2015.
