Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) |
Notes to Trainees – To remain compliant, trainees in GME programs requiring ALS or PALS certification must complete the quarterly assigned RQI modules by the deadline, including any previously missed quarters. The next quarter ends December 31. RQI stations are available throughout the UUH, VA, IMC, and PCH. For all other trainees in need of BLS, ALS and/or PALS certification, please visit the AHA website and search for local training.
|
Notes to Programs – It is the program's responsibility to track trainee RQI compliance each quarter. The best practice process is located in MedHub at Homepage > Resources/Documents > Click on GME Information for Programs > RQI – BLS/ALS/PALS
|
Disassembling a manikin, even if an error occurs, is prohibited. Contact the RQI Tech support at rqi@hsc.utah.edu.

Transportation Options for Fatigued Trainees |
ACGME common program requirements:
VI.D.2. The program, in partnership with its Sponsoring Institution, must ensure adequate sleep facilities and safe transportation options for residents who may be too fatigued to safely return home. (Core)
|
-
Please utilize call rooms if available for a quick nap before going home. Sleep rooms in the trainee workspace are reserved overnight for programs without dedicated call rooms of their own. Follow GME sleep room protocol.
-
Public transportation may be a viable option - all trainees have free use of UTA TRAX / Buses / Frontrunner.
- Many programs have rideshare accounts, taxi accounts, or reimbursement procedures.
- Check with your program about your policies and procedures.
|
Utah's Prescription Drug Monitoring Program |
New Utah Controlled Substance Database Requirement - applies to all clinicians holding a controlled substance license. We encourage programs to schedule a CSD training ASAP for your licensed providers. See flyer for contact information.
