Healthy connections

For three days this summer, Oxley College of Health Sciences welcomed 37 area high school students to Jr. STRETCHED (STudents Reaching Excellence Through Collaboration with Higher EDucation). “This immersive camp experience was designed to expose minority students to a variety of health care professions," explained Roger Kollock, an associate professor of athletic training/exercise sports science. 

In the key of outstanding

It's not even 10 years since he graduated from the School of Music, but already Paul Humphrey (BA '14) has hit all the right notes. This spring, he released a debut album of original piano compositions. Now, Humphrey is working on a singer-songwriter collection and collaborating on the score for a major documentary as well as an album of orchestral pieces. 

That homey feeling

Assistant Professor of Media Studies Emily Contois and her family are happily settled in an apartment at LaFortune House as TU relaunches its Faculty in Residence program. “I’m looking forward to the many ways I’ll get to connect with students while living on campus with them,” said Contois. “I hope to be a positive part of their college experience and to quite literally be steps away when they need help.”
