National Mentoring Month is a yearly campaign to promote youth mentoring by raising awareness, recruiting mentors, and advocating for supportive relationships.

Muslim Heritage Month celebrates Muslim communities and the core values of respect, unity, and peace that define Islam (Arab‑American Heritage Month is in April).

International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27 is a time to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of other victims of Nazi persecution.

We continue this good work through the goals of our Strategic Plan and the For All, Forever comprehensive campaign comprehensive campaign—growing together as a community grounded in mission, belonging, and care for one another. 

All are welcome to participate in all programs and events.

New Jersey Division on Civil Rights presents Words Matter free training. Supporting marginalized populations and talking openly about issues related to identity are more important than ever.

NJPAC hosts its Standing in Solidarity series with A Roof Over Our Head, a conversation about affordable housing. The event is free, but an RSVP is required—Tuesday, January 27, at 6 p.m.

Nutley Events & Clifton Events

January 21 begins the Art in America exhibit at Clifton Arts Center in Clifton, NJ, through February 28.

Enjoy the Shoshana Kertesz Art Exhibit from the Nutley Public Library now through February. There will be a reception for the artist at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, in the Stockton Room.

Wednesday, January 21 and 28 at 1 p.m., the Nutley Public Library hosts Wednesday Afternoon Knitters. Come share your love of knitting and crocheting with both beginning and experienced knitters. Please bring your own supplies. This group meets every Wednesday.
