Thank You Teachers

Attention parents! We know how much you appreciate our teachers and are always looking for an opportunity to let everyone know how great they are. Here's your chance!  Put it on a billboard.  Literally!

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week 2021, Lamar is giving parents the opportunity to recognize, honor, and appreciate the educators in your community who have gone above and beyond in a year like no other.

From May 3-7, Lamar will feature teachers’ photos on our national network of digital billboards, giving them the recognition they so richly deserve.

Thank you to LSU Pre-Dental Society!

Over the past couple of months, the Pre-Dental Society at LSU has been fundraising for the on campus Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool. With the help of the community and our members, we have successfully raised around $800 to purchase books, toys, and other educational materials for these children. We are fortunate to have such wonderful supporters!! Thank you to all who helped make this happen!

Teacher of the Month - Autumn Smith
Autumn believes that the most significant role of the teacher is to provide each student with the tools and techniques needed in order to become critical thinkers and effective agents of change within their society. She asserts that every single student is capable of positively influencing the world and with the development of analysis and problem-solving skills, the expansion of their global awareness, and the acquisition of a cooperative, inquiring attitude, students can achieve this goal and thrive beyond the classroom. Society cannot progress without the presence of well-educated, self-motivated individuals equipped with the research skills and the desire to better humanity needed to facilitate change. We are fortunate to have Autumn as part of the ECELP team!
Thank you
