Hi! My name is Blair Setnor and I’m an ordained Deacon in The UMC. I am a graduate of Candler School of Theology, I swam in college, run a recreation (basketball/cheerleading program) and have been on staff at Glenn Memorial for over 10 years. My husband, Shane, is also a graduate of Emory Law and is an attorney in Marietta. We were in your shoes not too long ago! Come find community and belonging among other young adults and support from seasoned professionals in your field of study. One of the best parts of my job is to offer all students a free cup of coffee or tea and a chat. Swing by my office across from the sanctuary/auditorium located at 1660 N. Atlanta Wesley Community is a Methodist ministry for fourth-year undergrads, graduate students, and young professionals. We focus on building community and meaningful relationships through service, learning, worship, and fellowship together. We also provide practical networking and mentorship from seasoned professionals in our congregation during this time of transition.

Service through Snack-in-a-Backpack

Every Thursday, 7:00–7:45 p.m., Ward Fellowship Hall of the Church School Building at Glenn Memorial UMC

You are invited to pack backpacks of food for children experiencing food insecurity. No advance sign-up is necessary. To learn more, please click here.

Book/Bible Study

Starting January 14 and Continuing Every Other Tuesday from 7:30-9:00 p.m., Rev. Blair’s house in East Lake (Carpooling from campus is available)

We will be reading "Just Mercy: A True Story of the Fight for Justice" (adapted for young adults) by Bryan Stevenson.

Worship at Glenn Memorial Church

The Gathering

Sunday evenings, 5:00 p.m., Ward Fellowship Hall in the Church School Building at Glenn Memorial UMC

The Gathering offers casual, acoustic worship. Also, each week following worship, you’re invited to participate in a rotation of a meal, small group conversation, service opportunity, or game night. Our fifth Sunday in March will be a night of connecting with professionals in each field represented on campus as they share how faith has informed their vocation.
