Index 10.0 - Benefit Estimates

Can you confidently answer your employees when they ask, “How much will my retirement benefit be?”

Index 10.0 is here to help! It provides step-by-step instructions on how to use the Online Benefit Estimate Calculator through EMIS to create a benefit estimate for TRSL-covered employees.

Please note that estimates prepared through the Member Access link use the same salary information that TRSL uses when calculating estimates. As such, they are only as accurate as the information that has been reported to us.

In some situations, such as the following, we suggest that you advise your employees to submit a benefit estimate request (via Form 10) directly to TRSL:

Members who are considering possible service credit purchases
Members considering Disability Retirement
Members considering an Annual COLA Option (ACO)
Members with transfer or reciprocal service credit from (or with) another Louisiana public retirement system
School food service Plan A (System 2) members
