| In observance of the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the Cal Expo September 11 Memorial Plaza will be open to the public on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 8 am to 12 pm, to pay tribute to the victims and honor the survivors of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks and to observe the anniversary of the end of the 9/11 rescue and recovery efforts.

The Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Program is a collaborative project of
the California State Fair, the California Agricultural Advisory Council, the State Fair Gala
Committee, and the Friends of the California State Fair.

This year, twenty-three students have been awarded $46,000 for scholarships for the 2021-22 academic year. These students represent twenty-three California cities.
The Ironstone Concours Foundation/Friends of the California State Fair provides $5,000
to be awarded to one outstanding candidate. In 2021, we recognize the recipient of the
Ironstone Concours Foundation/Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Paola
Alexandra Corzo.
