Communication is key this fall
This fall, it is more important than ever to check your Miami email daily and communicate with ISSS. Although the US government has allowed some flexibility regarding online enrollment this fall, we are still required to report on students’ full-time enrollment by the deadline set by federal regulations.

ISSS is currently reviewing enrollment and the e-forms submitted via InterLink to verify students’ study plans and location for Fall 2020. If we have questions or concerns about your information, we will email you. It is very important that you read any messages you receive from ISSS advisors and respond as soon as possible. Your legal status depends on our ability to report your enrollment accurately to the government by the deadline.

This fall, the final deadline for ISSS to report students’ enrollment is Wednesday, September 16. In order to have sufficient time to review enrollment and e-forms, all students should plan to be enrolled full-time and have submitted all relevant e-forms by Monday, September 14 at the latest. Earlier is better!

The English Language Learner (ELL) Writing Center provides one-on-one consulting to Miami multilingual student writers. Consultants help students, whose first language is not English, become more confident users of English academic language and effective, autonomous writers across genres and disciplines. Students who regularly use the ELL Writing Center have higher GPAs! Check the ELL Writing Center webpage for information on scheduling an appointment.
