SCHOOL NOTES FROM MRS. WOODMAN
Dear Families and Friends,
Many in our school and wider community attended our Celebrate Calm workshops this week with speaker, Kirk Martin. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. I am pleased that it was a benefit to so many who were interested in new tools for their parenting toolbox. Next in our Parent Partnership Series is a showing of Screenagers on March 28, 7:00-8:30 pm in the gym. Mark your calendars if you are ready to learn how technology impacts kid's development and how to help your family find balance in this digital age.
The Diocese of Nashville is undergoing its five year accreditation with AdvancEd next spring. The Catholic Schools Office requests the feedback of all CKS parents as they seek to assess where we are, where we’re going, and how we will get there in a new cycle of planning and goal setting for our parochial schools. Watch for an email next Tuesday with a link to the survey. It will be open for responses for two weeks. Students in grades five through eight and faculty/staff members will also complete surveys. This data will be valuable to both the diocese and our own school in planning for the future.
We had a successful Middle School Showcase last Friday for our 4th grade parents and are happy to offer it again on March 1, 8:00-9:30 am for anyone who missed it.
A Crown Affair is just around the corner on March 9. Do you have your tickets yet? Don’t miss this annual event that supports school operations and special programs. I’ll be looking for you there!
It’s Cupid’s special day and we are feeling the love in the halls and classrooms of CKS. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sherry Woodman
