Interdisciplinary community of postdoctoral scholars join Lucy Family Institute to advance data science and AI translational research

The Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society has launched an interdisciplinary postdoctoral community for Fall 2024. Postdoctoral scholars work closely with faculty from across campus to address societal issues at the interface of data science and artificial intelligence (AI). They also play an integral role in developing the Lucy Family Institute’s programming and in contributing to research within the Institute’s centers and labs.

Through an agreement with the NIH, researchers at the University of Notre Dame are able to gain access to one of the largest, and most diverse health databases ever.
The database aims to engage people who have been left out of medical research in the past, combining both biological factors and social determinants on a large scale, and making the information easily accessible to any researcher with a secure internet connection.
