Stay up-to-date on happenings throughout the Free Will Baptist denomination with this week's NAFWB News. Read below the exciting things going on in our national ministries.

Join Us in Tampa (Or Online)

Whether you are joining us in person in Tampa for the 2024 National Convention or planning to watch online, we want you to be prepared for the week.

If you have not yet secured a hotel room, additional rooms have been made available at the Westin until July 1. Reserve a room here.

Convention services and business reports will be streamed live on the NAFWB Facebook and at nafwb.org. Services begin each evening at 7:00 PM EDT and business starts Tuesday at 1:30 PM. Find the full schedule in the Convention Program, and prepare for the business sessions by reading reports in the Digest of Reports.

Services and business will also be streamed and translated in Spanish on the Asociación Nacional Bautista Libre (Libre Albedrío) Facebook. If you are attending in person, please read and share this important information with others: La traducción al español en la Convención Nacional.

Live streaming, translation, seminars, and other resources at the National Convention are vital to our denomination. However, they all come at a cost. Your financial giving to the Convention helps continue to equip our pastors and congregations with these opportunities. Plan to give generously to convention offerings during the week either in person or online.

Convention Worship

There is still opportunity to be part of the worship team for the 2024 National Convention. Information regarding participating in the convention choir or orchestra can be found at the links below:

A kids choir for ages 4-12 will also be available throughout the week. The kids choir will sing with the convention choir in the Wednesday night service, and will sing before the CTS Awards Ceremony. Find the rehearsal schedule and songs at https://www.fwbkids.club/.

The Future: Richland Ave Financial

Who is Richland Ave Financial? If you’re a NAFWB history buff, the name may have a familiar ring to you. Richland Avenue was the location of our denomination’s first national office. Over the last 55 years, the NAFWB Board of Retirement and Insurance, Inc. (our official name) has grown. We are proud of our heritage and where we come from. So, as we move into the next step of our development, we want to honor our heritage by adopting the Richland Ave Financial name. New Master's (M.A.) Degree

Welch College is now enrolling students in a new Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Organizational Leadership, with classes beginning this fall. The 33-hour degree program will be delivered in a 100% online format.

IM is partnering to send English teachers to countries that are closed to the Gospel. We are excited to go! But if there is power in going, there is more power in staying. Teach for a year, five years, or however long you are called. It helps students and friends looking for Christ when Christians stay to encourage them.
