Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. We encourage you to watch the video below from Dr. Moody about the importance of celebrating pastors. Also, each Monday on the NAFWB Facebook page we will release a graphic that describes ways that churches can support and encourage their pastor, and ONE Magazine Facebook will share pastoral articles each Thursday. It would be awkward for a pastor to share some of this material about himself, so please help get this important information out to others in your congregation.

Jeremiah 29 Initiative

Prayer is the focus of the Jeremiah 29 Initiative during October. We will continue to release a graphic each Tuesday about prayer, and a video and blog on prayer on Wednesdays. The Scripture meme on Thursdays will be a verse about prayer.

We also have a prayer calendar and Bible reading guide for the month at https://nafwb.org/jeremiah29/.

One focus of our prayers is the upcoming election in the United States. Check out the ONE Magazine Facebook site for posts dealing with the election. We will continue to release notes about the election on Mondays at 1:00 pm CDT.

Thanks for Giving

We thank all of you who were able to participate in the Rest of the Family Offering on Sunday, supporting some of our other vital NAFWB ministries. We encourage you to put Sunday, November 22 on your calendar and plan to give to the Mission North America Offering. This offering supports many critical endeavors for North American Ministries.

Rekindle Training

Last week, Dr. Danny Dwyer trained 16 more men to be ReKindle coaches to work with our churches as part of the Refresh Program. We have another 16 coaches that will be trained at the Leadership Conference. Please pray for this ministry.

Hurricane Sally Relief Efforts

Thank God for the progress that has been made after Hurricane Sally, and for all who have volunteered time and resources to the efforts. Please continue to pray for those who have been impacted by hurricanes, wildfires and disturbances throughout the country.

Leadership Conference

Don’t forget to register for the Leadership Conference if you have not already done so. The conference is open to everyone, but registration will be limited this year due to COVID restrictions. All national board members will meet after the Tuesday evening service to provide feedback on the NAFWB Board Manual.

2020 Theological Symposium

The Commission for Theological Integrity will host its annual Symposium as a live, online event through Zoom. This will be held October 5-6. For the full program and way to access the event, click here.

Strong and Courageous

Welch College held its Strong and Courageous banquet online this past Monday. The event honors leaders in Sumner County who demonstrate Christian faith in their everyday lives and through their businesses. It is available for viewing on YouTube.
