Science in Action Summer Internships

If you are looking to get paid for participating in a summer internship, then apply for the Science in Action Summer Internship at the USDA-Agricultural Research Service. This will offer underserved students the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research of Food Science, Plant Genetics and Breeding, Entomology, Natural Resources, Engineering, and more! 

Selected students will have a fully funded internship at California, Utah, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Dr Vinny "Ervin" Caraballo Scholarship

If you are a Latinx student that's looking for a way to help fund your college education, this is the perfect opportunity for you. The Dr. Vinny "Ervin" Caraballo Scholarship will be awarding two (2) $2,500 stipends. 

This scholarship will be administered by the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE). Aligned with their goals of career enhancement and service to the community, the scholarships will be awarded to college students that have a drive and passion towards community involvement.

Hispanic Student Leadership Summit

Google and The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) are partnering up to host an amazing Leadership summit geared towards Hispanic students. The summit will be held April 5-6, 2019 at Austing Texas. 

If you are a Hispanic student that's interested in the tech field, then this is a great opportunity for you! 50 chosen students will get the opportunity to network and present innovative ideas with The Hispanic Google Network. This a fully funded trip for those that are elected, so make sure to apply.

Mentoring Con Ganas

Applications for Mentors are open! Mentoring Con Ganas offers upper class students an opportunity to help incoming first year and transfer students. Mentors can offer insight into classes, professors, campus events, and provide a support system for new incoming students. This is also a great leadership opportunity for Pre-Health students. 

If you are a STEM student with a minimum of 2.5 GPA, identify as Latinx, will be a UIC student for the entire 2019-2020 academic year, and the 2019-2010 academic year is at least your second year at UIC, then you can apply!
