Ohio University is committed to creating a workplace where faculty and staff can thrive. As part of our ongoing partnership with ModernThink and the Positively Advancing Our Workplace Survey (PAWS) initiative, a randomly selected group of faculty and staff who previously participated in the engagement survey will soon receive an invitation to complete a brief pulse survey.

This shorter survey is designed to help the University better understand progress in key areas identified through the 2025 PAWS results, including opportunities related to collaboration, performance management, communication and mission and pride. By checking in on a focused set of questions, we can continue to learn what is working well and where additional attention may be needed.

While this pulse survey is being conducted with a randomly selected group of previous participants, all faculty and staff will have an opportunity to share their feedback through the next full PAWS survey administration in 2027.

If you receive an invitation, we encourage you to take a few minutes to participate. The pulse survey includes just 10 questions from the original survey and should take significantly less time to complete. As with the full survey, responses will be submitted directly to ModernThink and reported in aggregate to protect confidentiality.

The feedback shared through PAWS has already helped inform conversations and initiatives across the University. Your participation in this pulse survey will provide valuable insight as we continue our efforts to strengthen the employee experience and build on the many things that make OHIO a great place to work.
