NOVA Primary Jewish Voter’s Guide 

Federation partner, the Jewish Community Relations Council, teamed up with our friends at the Washington Jewish Week to create the 2023 Northern Virginia Jewish Primary Voter’s Guide. Election Day in Virginia is Tuesday, June 20^th, and in-person early voting is open now.

During Pride Month, and year-round, Federation is proud to stand with the LGBTQIA+ community in Greater Washington and beyond. Enjoy the many social and cultural events taking place throughout the month, and explore resources for the LGBTQIA+ community and their friends and allies from organizations in our community. Jewish Queer Happy Hour 

Celebrate Pride Month with GLOE at Federation partner, Edlavitch DCJCC (EDCJCC), Bet Mishpachah, Nice Jewish Boys DC, and Sixth & I at Pitchers DC in Adams Morgan for mingling and drink specials. After happy hour, stick around for Drag Bingo!

Pride Shabbat 

Join GLOE, Bet Mishpachah, and Nice Jewish Boys for happy hour, a drag performance, Shabbat services, and an oneg (a festive Shabbat gathering) to celebrate Pride. This will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together as a community!

March with the Jewish Community at the Capital Pride Parade

March with Federation, Bet Mishpachah, GLOE, PJ Library, and other community organizations in the 2023 Capital Pride Parade! Get your parade swag (including stickers, flags, and more) on the 16^th Street steps of the EDCJCC or join us at the parade starting spot (location will be shared with registered participants the week of the parade).

Federation, our Jewish Community Foundation, and our partners, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), Anti-Defamation League (ADL), American Jewish Committee (AJC), and Secure Community Network (SCN), are working to combat hatred and continue to secure our community for the long-term. In March 2023, Federation’s Board approved an initial $2 million in funding to combat antisemitism over the next three years: an important step in a large-scale initiative.
