It’s late January. Mid-winter. Ten months into a pandemic. Anyone else running out of things to do?!
You know I'm clearly bored when I choose to do some online shopping. I am not a shopper, actually not a fan at all, but thought it would kill some time. Before I knew it, instead of getting any real shopping accomplished, I was simply perusing Amazon looking at more of their insane products. Finding these crazy products never fails to entertain me. Since we are all in the same position - Jan/Winter/Pandemic - maybe you are just as bored as I am and would enjoy some mindless entertainment as well. So... What I came across while bored out of my mind:
Chip Fingers I honestly could not believe this was a thing. If you happen to be someone who would eat these snacks (as I surely am), you certainly would not be concerned with the stuff on your fingers. You may even consider it the best part!
Got a Chicken? If so, you don't want to miss this! Or better yet, this!
Squirrel Feeder I guess there are people who are entertained by playing jokes on squirrels and making them look silly? Go figure!
Peanut Butter and Jelly of the Month Club It'll cost you $450 bucks and there is very little info on the club. I guess Peanut Butter and Jelly fans are a pretty trustworthy bunch.
Puff-N-Fluff Dog Hair Dryer This looks pretty reasonable if you have a small dog. Although, a garbage bag and a hair dryer might work just as well.
A Mini Desktop Fridge Got one can of soda? Need it to be cold? Problem solved.
Let's all hope that next year at this time, there will be so much happening - people gathering, parties hopping, concerts playing and everyone just having a plain old fabulous time - that "crazy Amazon products" will be the LAST thing I have to write about!

Never Stop Moving!
So many books have been written on perseverance and surviving difficult times with a singular common solution: don’t quit—keep moving! Face the issues and then improvise, adapt and overcome the obstacles with the resources in hand or find those resources. When the pandemic first started, Tasty Table Catering experienced over 80% of their clients disappearing overnight because their core clients uprooted 70% of their staff from corporate centers to permanently working at home.
Owner George McLoughlin realized the situation early in May 2020 and knew he had to keep moving. He implemented a business model change that would pivot Tasty Table from a catering operation into a community resource for fast, pre-made healthy meals and lunch. By February 1st, the retail market will be offering quick and nourishing breakfast options to go as well. With over 1500 square feet renovated from a catering warehouse to an open kitchen with retail food display cases and meals made to order, the transformation is in full swing with an anticipated Grand Re-Opening in mid-February 2021.
Despite being forced to change and adapt to the new normal, McLoughlin is confident all of this is a blessing in disguise, and not just for himself. The opportunity of getting to know the neighbors of Berwyn better has been a benefit to this shift. Working with causes that help the community and doing what it can to bring awareness has been immensely satisfying. Tasty Table is a proud Main Line Neighbor.
Stay tuned for big changes! tastytablecatering.com

A GREAT TIME TO CLEANSE
As New Year’s resolutions pile up, it’s a good idea to consider a detox or cleanse. Our environment is continually bombarded by toxins in the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink. Currently there are more than 86,000 chemicals listed on EPA’s Toxic Substances List. It is no surprise that our bodies get overburdened especially with the over consumption that pervades the holidays.
Common signs that may indicate your body needs a break from its current toxin load include if you are feeling sluggish and tired all the time, your body may need a recharge. Brain fog or focus issues or decreased mental acuity may also be a strong indicator it’s time for a cleanse. Bloating, digestive complaints, or cravings for sugar are all indications of an imbalance in your microbiome that need attention. Another strong indicator is our sleep pattern. The body looks to restore itself each night, otherwise our immune system is negatively impacted. There are numerous cleansing /detox products on the market today, so it’s best to discuss your options with a nutritionally focused healthcare practitioner to maximize your results.
Contact Lionville Natural Pharmacy to set up a consultation or learn more about our cleanse and detox options. Call 610-363-7474 or visit lionrx.com.
