CPFM’s Custodial Unit, as seen above, has teamed up with University Housing to provide much needed support for incoming conferences and Oregon 22. Their hard work has been recognized by all and ultimately could result in a future partnership that could provide additional funding for other CPFM projects. To date we have billed out over $190,000 and have been able to provide over 800 hours of overtime. This project is expected to last till September 2, 2022. Way to go team!

You are invited to participate in Everyday Inclusion 2022 throughout August.
This is a chance for CPFM staff to connect with their teams, other CPFM departments, and other units across the Finance and Admin portfolio (Business Affairs, budget and research units, Human Resources, Information Services, FASS, Safety and Risk Services, and Campus Services). Everyday Inclusion brings together 700+ employees to connect, learn about ourselves and each other, attend tours and workshops, and discover ways to be more inclusive in the workplace.
Information is online; you are encouraged to talk to your supervisor about attending an activity that interests you—individually or with colleagues. If you don’t have time to attend a workshop, share a recipe and reflection for The Foods that Connect Us activity. Take the opportunity to learn and interact with colleagues while exploring inclusion, connection, and belonging.

Thanks to Nick Grant and to everyone that was involved in the operations (Oregon22 work performed at Hayward Field). It really helped to improve the situation and we much appreciate that you were able to mobilize your team so quickly to respond to what was a complicated scenario.

The partnership with CPFM for Custodial Services in the residence halls this summer has helped a great deal. The CPFM Custodial staff helped and will help a great deal with the quick turnover of rooms between the end of spring term and the first summer conference/camps/summer residence hall students moving in, preparing for and providing every-three-day guest room cleaning for the World Athletics Championships Oregon22 (the largest residential conference group UO has hosted, around ~50,000 bed nights), preparing for July IntroDUCKtions and preparing for fall residence hall student arrival---with record occupancy. Again, really appreciate it.

I am extremely happy with the diligence and performance of Steve Blakeley and his custodial duties in Allen Hall. He is among the hardest working and most detail oriented custodians we have had, bar none. I so appreciate having Steve as a consistent presence that I can count on, and I hope we get to keep him. His performance is very impressive, thanks for giving him to us!
- Tom Rozinski, SOJC Building Coordinator

I would like to extend my appreciation and thank you for the efforts you (Kevin, Johnny and Nick) and your staff who came over and supported the overall University charge to house the athletes, support staff and officials during the Oregon 22 World Track Championships. The work your team accomplished was instrumental in helping to make this event a success.
- Steve McKenzie, Housing Facilities Services

I wanted to extend a big thank you for your efforts in ensuring a good start to this year’s IntroDUCKtion season! We are not able to do the work we do in orienting and welcome new students and their families to our community without the work you all do to make parts of IntroDUCKtion possible.
- Michael Luna, Student Services and Enrollment Management

I am incredibly appreciative of Colin Brennan's dedication to the Huestis project, his attention to detail, and his flexibility to work around faculty research schedules. He often goes above and beyond to procure what we need for our lab to stay productive and is great at finding innovative solutions to any problem.
- Emily Sylwestrak, Assistant Professor, Biology

While some of our custodial staff were working on these special assignments, the rest of the Custodial Services team picked up the slack and covered the runs that needed to be done in the academic buildings. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for going well above and beyond to make sure the university was a successful host!

I want to thank our Grounds staff for all they did to get the campus looking great for the Worlds. They are now dealing with the resulting impacts to the turf and other landscaping areas that were impacted by 10 days of foot traffic by the fans. They also had the additional challenge of navigating around the security protocols to get to other work areas.
