Introducing Kristen Foster, newAlumni & Events Coordinator
Kristen Foster joined Goodwin University as the Alumni & Events Coordinator in September. Kristen most recently worked at the UConn Werth Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, where she was the coordinator for a program that matched students with alumni for mentorship opportunities. She is thrilled to be joining the Goodwin Foundation team, where her goals are to build community among alumni, increase opportunities to give back, and find ways for Goodwin to continue to contribute to the lifelong success of its graduates. Connection, growth, and community are at the forefront of her vision for the upcoming year, and she hopes you will join us for an event!

Alumni Networking Night: Featuring MSOL Program Director Sandi Coyne-GilbertJoin us on Thursday, November 30, from 6:00-7:30 P.M. at Goodwin University to connect, reconnect, and meet new people affiliated with Goodwin University! Light refreshments will be provided.
We will be raffling off exciting items, such as a pair of tickets to our Yard Goats alumni night game, tickets to Lake Compounce, a $100 gift card to Adam Broderick Spa, and more!
To participate in the raffle, please bring cash. Money raised will support the Goodwin University Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.

From Doubt to Achivement: Janice Hahn
“I had a real belief that I just wasn’t smart enough. I truly believed I wasn’t going to be able to do it.” Janice Hahn (RN-BSN ’13) once thought she could never return to school. Then, she met with a Goodwin counselor, who changed her perspective. Since graduating from Goodwin’s RN to BSN program, she has won several awards, including the Alumni Professional Achievement Award right here at Goodwin.

Sammie Meneses: A Journey to Make a DifferenceSammie Meneses, a Goodwin graduate with a bachelor's degree in Enviornmental Science, wanted to make a difference, especially within underserved communities. That is how she found herself working with the Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC) and has not stopped since!

Thanksgiving for All:Turkey Drive Success!On Tuesday, November 7, Goodwin University staff, students, and alumni gathered outside of the Ann B. Clark Co-op to collect donations. Thanks to the generous support of the community, the event collected 67 turkeys and raised $1,000 in monetary donations.

Alumni Night Out at Dunkin' Park with the Hartford Yard Goats
Alumni gathered for an evening of fun at Dunkin' Park in Downtown Hartford for a Yard Goats game in July. A tempting buffet was served, Chompers made his way over for photos, and a great evening was had by all, although the Yard Goats didn't win against the Fisher Cats.

Alumni Attend 2023 ClambakeIn June, the Goodwin Foundation hosted its annual Clambake fundraiser. Thank you to our alumni for showing up and supporting! Together, we were able to raise money to support Goodwin students while enjoying an evening of seafood, auction items, and so much fun!
