Needs Assessment Results & Next Steps

The results are in! Since April we have been conducting a statewide needs assessment to better understand college interests of students with intellectual disabilities (ID) across the state, and barriers to college that they may be facing. Join us on September 21st at 1pm MST for a summary of the findings and a discussion of ways we can all collaborate to improve college access for students with intellectual disabilities.

New Self-Paced Learning Series

This new five-part video series for teachers and parents will help you increase your comfort and confidence in talking to students with ID about college as a post-graduation option.

Upcoming Webinar

Join IN! on September 15 from 12-1pm MST for a general overview of college options for students with intellectual disabilities in Colorado. This webinar will cover supports available to students with ID at Arapahoe Community College, University of Northern Colorado, and University of Colorado Colorado Springs. This session will include time for questions and answers.

As part of their annual Oil and Gas Conference, EnerCom hosted a golf tournament at Arrowhead golf course that benefited IN!. Over the past 5 years, EnerCom has raised $34,750 for inclusive higher education.

CT Lighting held a golf tournament at Racoon Creek, which raised triple what the past 2 tournaments have raised, bringing in $7,500 to support college inclusion in Colorado.

As part of their ongoing $10,000/year sponsorship, Johnson Storage & Moving held an all-staff town hall and check presentation. In addition, they currently employ two inclusive higher education college students.

IN!'s YPB has been busy!

IN!'s Young Professionals Board is on a roll fundraising for and raising awareness about inclusive higher education in Colorado! Their recent successes include:

Highlighting graduates via student interviews
Launching an IN! apparel store
Hosting a Sip of IN! event at Mountain Toad Brewery, an event which raised ~$800, brought awareness to an inclusive employer, and provided space for conversations about college inclusion. Keep an eye out for the next Sip of IN! event!
