Col. (Ret.) Thomas G. Rackley '71

The U.S. Air Force Academy Association & Foundation has recently learned of the death of Col. (Ret.) Thomas G. Rackley, CS-39, Class of 1971. Col. Rackley passed away on Oct. 5, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. on May 1, 2026, at the USAFA Cemetery, 3024 Parade Loop, USAF Academy, Colorado. Base access information to follow when available.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on May 2, 2026, at the Hotel Polaris-Generations Ballroom C, 8989 North Gate Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado.

His family has suggested memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Gary Sinise Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
