Matt reflects on disability history, the changing landscape and how to fail
Dear Friend,
We're incredibly grateful for you, our generous and engaged community, for surrounding us with love and encouragement. We so appreciate the ways you show up, every day, to build a more inclusive world.
The road to full inclusion is not always easy or quick.
As Artistic Director Matt Guidry reflects on our newest Art of Voice and Choice program, he reminds us of the long slow journey and the ongoing practice of making space for voice and for choice in ordinary moments.

"Those of us that are caregivers become comfortable with making decisions for those we support.  Sometimes it’s necessary. Sometimes it’s not... I really struggle with this as a parent of a young adult with disabilities..."
With abundant thanks for all that you do!
Julie, Matt, Bree, and everyone at Upstream Arts
