Dear Traveler,

Though the official start date of summer is not for another few weeks, the folks in line at Sliding Rock on Memorial Day have already splashed on into the season and given their upfront impressions (Verdict: Super Fun, if still a bit chilly). I think it’s high time the rest of us follow suit. The temperatures are rising. The campers are packing. The mountain laurel is laurel-ing. And I hear tell, over at Brevard Music Center, the orchestras are rehearsing a variation on the theme of “This is going to be a great summer in Transylvania County.”

That’s no lie. There is so much happening up here right now that Superman would be stressed out trying to get to it all. So pitch the tent, light the grill and get this season into gear with some extraordinary sights, spectacular sounds and a whole slew of summertime adventures you can jump right into, no matter your taste.

Catch you at the campfire,
