The sun has set over the distant horizon.
Greetings Traveler,
The sun has set over the distant horizon. The sky has faded into night. The moon has risen over the mountains filling the forests with an otherworldly light. I have fastened my cape, unlocked the bicycle, and taken to the old winding trails to hunt out the very latest in Brevard and Transylvania County. It is the spooky season! And as a creature of the dark with an abiding thirst for pumpkin spiced beverages, it’s truly my time to shine (though perhaps not in direct sunlight). This month has more heart-pounding excitement in store than the Wolfman has gray hairs. And while we’re all getting pretty excited, you’ll have plenty of chances for tricks and treats before night falls at Halloweenfest. As for now, I must bid you farewell as I embark down the mountain to taste from the flowing taps of Transylvania County. Perhaps we shall meet by moonlight? I do so love it when a friend turns up for a drink.

Eternally yours,

 -Count Adventurist

Halloweenfest 2022
Downtown Brevard
Saturday, October 29
10am-3pm

We’re not saying downtown Brevard’s Halloweenfest is the best, but this IS Transylvania County. Who knows who or what might lurk up in the forest? Dracula? Wolfmen?
Witches? Maybe even our old friend, the Mummy? Whatever the case, you’re likely to see more spooky, scary, creepy, crawly, mystical, magical, and all around fantastical friends gathered on the streets of Brevard for this free, family-friendly event. In between the costume competitions and parade and pumpkin-carving contest, your favorite ghouls may also enjoy a bounce house, hula hoop dance party, a very special “Smart Start Sesame Street Party” (with visiting Muppets) and of course, plenty of trick-or-treating at the
Spooky Stroll Open House. Grown-ups can even blow off a litlle steam with some
satisfying axe throwing.
