Greetings, Friends: As you look over the last of our monthly newsletters until we come back together in August, pat yourselves on the back for a job well done in completing a wholly difficult and challenging year. I’ve said throughout the year how proud I am of our DFPA community, and our ability to come together to solve problems and arrive at the most ingenious and creative of solutions. I’m certain that we’ll continue to face challenges of adjustment as we return to campus; and I’m also certain that we’ll face even larger, new challenges raised through the self-examination of our institutions and practices we’ve undergone this year. Because we’ve been through the gauntlet of this year, in many ways we’re stronger and more committed to moving forward. But now, I wish all of you a restful, rejuvenating and enjoyable summer. Continue to check in with our weekly DFPA re-opening emails, and we’ll be back with you in this format in August!

Sensory Overload: 2021 Loyola Fine Art Senior Exhibition
| |
APR 16 - MAY 14 // Online Reception and Awards MAY 14 @ 5:00 CDT | REGISTER
Sensory Overload is an online exhibition of the work of Loyola University Chicago’s most recent Fine Art graduates. With a variety of approaches to making across multiple disciplines, this exhibition represents the ambition, passion, and activism that make Loyolans stand out. The investigations and discoveries within Sensory Overload are often poignant and surprising and have become even more complex in these unprecedented times of protest and pandemic. Like the rest of the world, these students are asking the difficult question of what comes next — not just for themselves, but for the world that their work represents.
