Root Cellar Food Pantry
Hello, I’m Edith, the lead volunteer at the Root Cellar Food Pantry, part of CARE Community Center in Rogers, Arkansas. Each week, we receive generous donations from 15 local stores—everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to meats, deli items, and baked goods. Our driver picks up these donations daily, and our team sorts and distributes them during pantry hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
A typical cart includes shelf-stable items, fresh sandwiches, frozen meats, eggs, dairy (when available), snacks, fruits, vegetables, bread, and pastries. We also include cereal, baking goods, and health and beauty items when available.
Starting this month, we’re excited to include a recipe in each newsletter, featuring key ingredients commonly available from the pantry. It’s our joy to serve our neighbors, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you.

Neighbor Services Hello, I am Cartrina, the Neighbor Service Coordinator at CARE Community Center. My role is to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and that respect is upheld throughout our community. I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals—often those they didn't even know they had. I provide essential resources and opportunities that foster a strong mindset and create healthier homes. Additionally, I offer a supportive, encouraging presence whenever needed.
I hold our neighbors accountable for their choices, but I make it clear that it's never too late to start anew. No matter the goals they set for themselves or their families, I am dedicated to guiding them on their journey to success. Our center offers job training, referrals, community services, high school hour support, educational classes on budgeting, goal setting, and much more. Let’s work together to turn your goals into reality.

At CARE Community Center, you’re never just a number — you’re a neighbor, a friend, and part of our community.
We live here, work here, and share this community with you. CARE isn’t part of a larger organization or government agency — we’re a local team, committed to walking alongside those we serve.
Everyone who walks through our doors is seen, valued, and welcomed — just as they are.
