Navigating the job search can be a daunting and overwhelming task and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. The University Career Center is hosting a virtual workshop on Saturday, Nov. 18 at noon that identifies and describes the key elements of a successful job search and provides concrete tools and resources that you can use to increase your chances of success.

Test your mood with SHAC

A mental health check-up is just as important as a physical health check-up. The Center for Student Health Counseling (SHAC) is offering free mental health check-ups for PSU students at Ondine Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The entire process only takes 10-15 minutes and you can enter a raffle to win prizes, including Squishmallows!

Apply for ASPSU internship program

Interested in learning more about student government and ways to impact change on campus and in the community? ASPSU offers an internship program during the Winter term of each academic year where students learn about skills and topics critical to having a successful understanding of the civic and political processes. The application form is open now and the priority deadline is Nov. 27 by 11:59 pm. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by Dec. 1. The PSU McNair Scholars Program recruiting hardworking capable undergraduates for the 2024 cohort of PSU McNair Scholars. Get ready for the winter basketball league by playing in the 3v3 basketball tournament on Monday, Nov. 20 from 7-10 p.m on Courts 1 & 2. Register as a team or free agent in either the Women's+ or Open division by 5 p.m. on Nov. 20.

Join the College of the Arts for an engaging discussion 

The College of the Arts invites you to join us on Nov. 14 at noon for "Intersectional Justices," an engaging brown-bag discussion in the yearlong series "The Arts at the Vanguard of Change." This conversation features professors Taravat Talepasand (Art Practice) and Kiara Hill (Art History). Professor Hill will discuss the meaning and origin of the concept of intersectionality, and Professor Talepasand will describe the maelstrom that erupted when her artwork was exhibited at Macalester College last spring. Join us for this enlightening discussion of the complexities of intersectionality and what's at stake in how we think about intersectional justice.
