Psalm 139:1-3
You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
    you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
    you are familiar with all my ways.

New International Version (NIV)
               “You think you know someone. . .”  Whom do you know best?  More importantly, who knows you best?  Friends and family know us well, but nobody knows us like God.  Why is that?
We are God’s research project.  God has searched us.  He knows us.  How well?  He knows our physical actions and our thoughts, even before we think them. Whether we sit or rise or go out or lie down, he sees us.  Great relationships involve growing knowledge about others and greater revelation of ourselves.
Some may remember Donn Thomas singing at Tallowood, “He knows my name.  He knows my every thought.  He sees each tear that falls and hears me when I call.  He hears me when I call.”
What if we made it our great project to get to know the God who knows us?  Paul told the Philippians, “I want to know him . . .”   Let’s not be content with what we have already learned about God.  There is so much more to know!
Pray with me:
Father, who are we that you would search and know us.  Thank you that you not only made us but you love us perfectly.  Since you know us so well, we will not waste time or energy today trying to hide from you.  We know you know us.  Would you help us to know you better at the close of this day than we do right now?  We ask it in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
I want to invite you to join me in memorizing 52 passages this year from the 2017 set of Fighter Verses.  You can find the Fighter Verses App at the App Store on your phones or via this link  http://fighterverses.com/the-verses/fighter-verses/As we study the Bible this year, let's look at each text and learn what it says about God.
Joyfully,
