Hello 4-H Families,

A huge thank you to our Sauk County Fair Board and volunteers from many organizations for making this year’s fair such a success! While the county fair isn’t strictly a 4-H event, it is a highlight of the year for so many of our members, and we are so grateful for all the hard work that goes into making it happen. This year we had a record number of 4-H exhibitors! I love geeking out over the numbers, so check out the graphic below to see a breakdown of our amazing growth and participation.

4-H Record Books: As projects wrap up, now is the time to complete your Record Books! Finishing them is a crucial step that helps you qualify for county scholarships and Senior Leader roles down the road.

Looking ahead, we’re already actively planning an awesome 4-H year for 2026–2027. To make it our best year yet, we need YOU! We're looking for both youth and adult volunteers to step into leadership roles. Check out our Project Leader Wishlist below to see where you can lend a hand!

Sauk County, WI — Sauk County 4‑H is proud to recognize three new inductees into the Sauk County 4-H Hall of Fame! Volunteers were surprised with this recognition during the 4-H Performing Arts Showcase on Thursday, July 9th at the Sauk County Fair.

Stephanie Beardsley, Cheryl Shanks, and Kellie Zink were honored for their outstanding contributions. Their dedication and leadership have strengthened our programs, supported youth development, and enriched our community. Their efforts reflect the core values of 4‑H and exemplify the spirit of service that defines our organization.

Sauk County 4‑H extends its heartfelt gratitude to Kellie, Cheryl, and Stephanie for their exceptional service, leadership, and dedication to empowering youth. To honor their outstanding impact, a leaf with each inductee's name has been added to the Sauk County 4‑H Hall of Fame tree, located in the Junior Fair Exhibit Building at the Sauk County Fairgrounds. Their contributions truly represent the very best of 4‑H.
