This summer, 100 of South Carolina’s brightest rising high school juniors and seniors attended the Entrepreneurship State program at the Brook T. Smith Launchpad. The immersive week-long experience allows students to learn directly from entrepreneurs and transform ideas into ventures.
- The Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine celebrated another historic milestone Saturday at the college's first White Coat Ceremony. The ceremony formally welcomed the inaugural class into the veterinary profession.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced it will maintain lake-level restrictions at Lake Hartwell. There is currently no impact to University operations, as all University facilities adjacent to the lake remain open and fully operational.
