The Board of Trustees will meet via teleconference today at 2 p.m. to honor Clements’ enduring legacy and begin shaping Clemson’s next chapter, including naming interim leadership, forming a Presidential Search Committee and taking steps to engage an executive search firm. The meeting will be streamed live on Clemson TV.

The Office of Visits, Events and Orientation has announced the 2026 Orientation Ambassador Team. The leader group responsible for facilitating Ready, Set, Roar! and providing course registration support, these students are known for their academic excellence, leadership and success.

An international team of scientists led by Associate Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Learning Sean Brittain, also a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, has found that young stars may undergo a late growth spurt — a finding that challenges beliefs about how intermediate-mass stars form and sheds light on the origins of giant planets.

Vernon Burton, the Judge Matthew J. Perry Distinguished Professor of History, was brought to the University in 2010 to enhance the high research profile in the humanities and help Clemson achieve its goal of becoming a R1 institution. Upon arriving at Clemson, Burton's love for teaching drew him to his first class: a Creative Inquiry project that demonstrated the experiences Creative Inquiry provides for students and faculty.
