2023-24 Student Dress Code
Dear St. Michael's Families,
We gather to do important work. Our dress reflects the importance St. Michael’s places on learning and personal conduct by communicating a level of care and respect for ourselves, others, and the work we do together.
Thank you to all who submitted extensive and thoughtful dress code feedback this spring. Parent feedback showed great enthusiasm for a St M spiritwear-based dress code (and to a lesser extent, a formal uniform).
Given the complexity, apparel planning, daily management, and parental support that is inherent in implementing a dress code change, St. Michael’s will adhere to our previous dress code standards for the 2023-24 school year (click button below to view) while we continue to explore potential dress code updates for the following 2024-25 school year. Any updates to the 2024-25 dress code will be announced in early 2024.
Parent Reminders:
- Students will go outdoors and use our 70 acres for learning and daily activities, so they should wear the right clothing, weather gear, and sturdy shoes each day.
- We strongly suggest families put names in ALL clothing/jackets worn to school.
- School administrators are the final arbiters for what is or is not considered appropriate dress.
Thank you for your support and enjoy these last wonderful days of summer. We are counting the days until we see our Dragons back in our halls!
Sincerely,
Bob Gregg, Head of School
