Leadership Conference

December 4-5, 189 Free Will Baptist pastors and ministry leaders from 25 states gathered at Sonesta Nashville Airport for the annual Free Will Baptist Leadership Conference. Keynote sessions featured author and church planter Mark Clifton, who explored the theme “Reclaiming Glory” involving topics related to revitalizing struggling and dying churches. The 2024 conference will be December 9-10 with Bestselling author Gary McIntosh as the featured speaker, exploring the theme, Flying Solo: Helping Pastors Survive the Isolation of Ministry. Visit nafwb.org/leader throughout the year for updates regarding the 2024 conference.

New Missionaries Appointed to IM

The IM board met together December 5-6 to discuss budgets, strategy, and the future of IM. As we end the year and look toward the Christmas holiday, "great joy" was expressed over the way God is working around the world through the ministries of IM.

Faculty, Students Attend ETS

The 75th annual meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society met in San Antonio, Texas November 14-16. Almost 3,000 full and student members attended the conference. Among this number were several Free Will Baptists who made significant contributions to the meetings. There were both faculty and student participants from Welch College and Welch Divinity School.

CELF Seeking Investments

The Church Extension Loan Fund, a ministry of FWB North American Ministries, has been meeting the needs of churches for over 40 years.

CELF receives investments from individuals, churches, or other entities, and then loans that money to churches and ministries to buy land, buildings, or make improvements on existing properties to better serve their members.

As of December 1, CELF investments earn interest from 3.5% to 5% depending on the investment amount. Interest is compounded monthly to give an added benefit to the investor. With only a 30-day requirement for withdrawal, the money is not tied up for an extended period.
