Hello Houston Audubon Volunteers!

Our summer "slow season" is officially over and volunteer activities are ramping up! Our bird and nature sanctuaries are definitely going to need some extra TLC after these past few days of extreme rain, so if you have time to get involved we can certainly use your help.
Check out the list of current volunteer needs below, or click "Yes! I can help the birds!" to see a complete list.
If you have any questions or would like to sign up for something please feel free to reply directly to this email.

Education Program Assistants

Multiple times and locations
Help our Education Team deliver bird and conservation focused programming to all ages, from toddler to senior, at  Edith L. Moore, the Raptor Education Center, and at locations around Houston. Assistance with programs is needed year-round. Knowledge of birding is welcome but not required for this role!

Visitor Experience Volunteers

Shifts Vary                                                                                                              Raptor and Education Center
Hang out with our Birds of Prey, enhance visitor experiences, and ring up gift shop merchandise in support of our educational programs and conservation work. We need volunteers who can help out on Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday, either morning or afternoon shifts, on a regular basis. Perfect if you love birds and the outdoors but would prefer that your volunteer time be spent protected from the elements.

Bolivar Beach Cleanup

Saturday, September 28th, 9am-noon
Bolivar Peninsula

This beach clean-up is a great opportunity to witness the shorebirds and wildlife of Bolivar, the activity on the ship channel, and experience hands-on conservation by keeping our beaches clean. Bring a friend!

Gala Event Support
