Winter Magic!
Winter months have the potential to hinder fitness progress and healthy habits. I am so impressed with our FIT4MOM mommas who support each other and show up regularly for workouts. 
In January, cold weather brought us indoors for Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, Body Back workouts, and we welcomed Winter Storm Jonas into our FIT4MOM family. But winter weather can't stop us! Our moms show up ready to rock indoor workouts at Christ Church and Briar Chapel Clubhouse. When snow fell durng our Sunday morning Run Club, we toasted with post-run mimosas and healthy snacks. When Winter Storm Jonas prevailed over in-person Stroller Strides classes, we completed snowed-in workouts at home and kept each other motivated. Our morning Body Back moms trudged over ice and snow for their early morning workouts. Julia Niday left home at 6:50 am and mountain biked to her 7:30 am Saturday Body Back class with snow gear, bike helmet, backpack, and all! 
During a month when most people start strong with New Year's Resolutions and falter by January 31st, you have shown just how #MOMSTRONG you all are! I'm honored and inspired to be a part of this incredible village of amazing mothers!

FIT4MOM of the Month: Meet Rachel Burton!
Rachel started Body Back with FIT4MOM Cary/Durham in January 2015. She completed two Body Back 8-week sessions before moving to Chapel Hill and joining FIT4MOM Chapel Hill's fall Body Back 8-week sessionDuring 2015, Rachel completed a total of three Body Back 8-week sessions and one mini-session. She lost over 25 pounds and 7.5 inches all while gaining strength and endurance! Rachel improved from 20 bicep curls in one minute to 32; 12 push-ups in one minute to 30; 30 squats in one minute to 53; and her plank hold increased from 0:49 to 2:00!
You can now find Rachel rocking regular morning and evening Body Back workouts with her Body Back Alumni Membership. Rachel, you are a true inspiration, and we are so proud of you!
